Letter of Acceptance to the Young Mage
This letter has traveled a considerable distance to reach you. That it has arrived means one thing: the Council has found your name in the Ledger of Latent Power โ and the Arcane Isles wishes to extend an invitation.
You are not yet aware of what you can do. This is expected. Most apprentices arrive not knowing what magic feels like from the inside โ only that something has always seemed slightly different about the world when they pay close attention. We suspect you know exactly what we mean.
Your assigned Archmage will contact you next month with your first lesson. In the meantime, the enclosed task will tell us whether you are ready. Read it carefully. What you do next matters more than you know...

More Than a Letter.
A Better Kind of Magic.
In a world of screens and notifications, something arrives in the post โ addressed to your child, by name, from another world entirely. No batteries required.
100% Screen-Free
Real paper. Real ink. Real post. Every letter is a physical object your child holds in their hands โ no app, no device, no login. Just imagination and a story that belongs entirely to them.
Real Good Deeds โ Every Month
Every letter includes a quest that happens in the real world: a genuine act of kindness, a brave conversation, a moment of patience. The story rewards good character โ because the story is really about them becoming it.
Gets Kids Reading โ Genuinely
Children who won't sit still for a school book will read the same letter four times if it's addressed to them. The personalisation changes everything. These are the letters kids read by torchlight under the covers.
Values That Actually Stick
Kindness. Bravery. Forgiveness. Honesty. Generosity. Each month a different virtue is woven into the story โ not as a lesson, but as the reason the world needs your child specifically. Children remember what they feel, not what they're told.
The Magic of the Post
There is something irreplaceable about a letter with your child's name on it โ something that no notification, no email, no digital reward will ever replicate. Getting post is an event. These letters make it a monthly celebration.
A Full Year of Anticipation
Thirteen letters over twelve months โ each one advancing a continuous story your child cares about. Waiting for the next letter becomes part of the magic. So does the moment it finally arrives.
THE TWELVE QUESTS COVER
One real-world quest per letter. Each one is a genuine good deed โ not a worksheet.
What Parents Are Saying
"My son spent three hours on the first puzzle. Three focused hours with paper and pencil. No screen. I didn't think that was possible anymore. He was devastated when he solved it because it meant waiting a month for the next."
"She's started writing her own letters to the Archmage. Her handwriting has improved more in two months than in the previous year. She has an audience now โ and the honesty quest genuinely changed how she talks to us."
"The birthday scroll named him Apprentice of the Thought Current. He put it in a frame. He's twelve. These letters are doing something screens never could โ making him feel genuinely seen and specifically needed."
Before You Open the Letter
The Wizard letters are written for children aged 6 to 13. The puzzles and language have more depth than the other themes, making it ideal for slightly older or more puzzle-minded children. Younger curious readers will love having them read aloud.
No subscription at all. One flat payment covers all 13 letters. Letters ship monthly from your purchase date. No recurring charges, no cancellation โ just a full year of magic by post.
After purchase you'll provide your child's name and birthday month. The letters address them directly by name, and the birthday scroll is crafted around their specific occasion and arcane specialty.
It makes an extraordinary gift โ especially because it's the kind that keeps arriving for an entire year. Purchase using your own details, provide the child's name, birthday, and address. Gift notes welcome in the first letter.
Currently shipping within the United States. International options are coming. If you're outside the US, reach out โ we'll do our best to send the Arcane Isles to your door.
Completely. Every letter is a physical object โ printed on paper, stuffed in an envelope, sent by post. There is no app, no website login, no QR code to scan. Your child holds it in their hands, reads it, keeps it. Many children create dedicated boxes or folders for their growing collection.
Each month's quest focuses on a different real-world virtue: kindness, bravery, reading and learning, gratitude, teaching others, standing up for what's right, forgiveness, patience, generosity, encouragement, honesty, and personal values. The quests are genuine good deeds โ things your child actually does in the real world, not worksheets or exercises. The story frames each virtue as something the world genuinely needs from them specifically.
This is one of the most common things parents tell us after they start. Children who resist reading at school will read the same letter multiple times if it has their name in it and is addressed directly to them. The personalisation changes the relationship entirely โ it's not a book, it's correspondence. For younger children, reading the letter together as a family ritual works beautifully too.
The Acceptance Letter Is Ready
The Council has already written the first scroll. The Archmage is waiting. All that's missing is your child's name in the Ledger of Latent Power.
